    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]To the beloved soulmate and son of Eugene F. Halsted Jr., there are some things in life that can not be described by words, such is the case in trying to tell your story.

On January 18th, 2018, our little boy Eugene Frederick Halsted III was born, but he did not make it into our world. Our “little fox” knew only love, joy, and happiness. He never knew pain, sadness or anger. The very next morning, his mommy went to join him in Heaven, as all little boys need their mommy.

Crystal’s soul was genuine, caring and loving. She loved nature, and everything about the earth, from the mountains to the ocean. She loved music, and always searched for adventure. To her, family and friends were everything. Her loved transcended this world, and filled everyone she met with immense joy and happiness. Crystal was a fighter, something she did until the end, after all she did have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Crystal could do anything she put her mind to. She could teach herself to do anything. After graduating Rockville High in 2008, she went on to become a licensed financial advisor. Completing a 4 year program in under a year. Crystals search for her other half ended for good the day she married me, Eugene F. Halsted, Jr. on September 9, 2016, a truly blessed day. Four months later we bought a house and turned that into a home and in that home, built a nursery together fit for a king.

Crystal and Eugene III’s love remains with their father and grandfather Kevin Hayes, her mother and father, Grandma and Grandpa Sherry and Jim Griffin; her brother and sister Uncle Josh and Auntie Alesha. On the Halsted side their names live on with her father and mother, Papa Gene Halsted, Sr. and Grandmother Susan Guitard Halsted, her sisters Aunt Aimee and Aunt Amanda and her brother Uncle Damien and countless best friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her heart always remains with her beloved husband. Crystal and Eugene III would want everyone to know how precious life is, hug your loved ones, do an act of kindness in their name, let their love grow.

To my beautiful wife and my precious little boy, I will miss you more than I can ever say, but I know you will be with me for the rest of my days. I will take comfort knowing my little boy is with his mommy. I promise you both my life’s mission will be to share your story with the world. Sleep well my loves, you have planted a seed of love, now we let love grow.

    Always and forever, My Love.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Isabele Grace McGrath of Grand Blanc, Michigan blessed this earth for 21 years, leaving us on December 25, 2021.

She was a beautiful soul who expressed herself in a multitude of activities. These expressions of life will forever be imprinted in our memories as we remember her pirouetting through the kitchen; rescuing the vulnerable animal, including a snake, from her job at Dotty’s Pet Store; changing her hair color like Michigan weather changes; shooting archery with grandpa at the Flint Bowmen’s Club; reading books repetitively until the bindings broke; singing her favorite songs; exposing us to alternative music groups like Black Veil Brides; and teaching us about color mixing as we admire her paintings and drawings.

But, the greatest memory will be of the little, sassy, redhead girl who grew up to bless us with an extension of herself through her baby boy, Zayden Charles.

Zayden will have many loved ones in his life to preserve and share her memory with him including Bele’s dad, Michael Sean (Sandy); mom, Roberta; brother, Alexander; grandmas, grandpa, aunts, uncles, many cousins, extended family and friends; and most importantly, the love of her life, Kody.

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Heather Faye Wilkinson, 35, of Fernandina Beach passed away Monday, October 25, 2021.

She was born in Jacksonville but came home to Fernandina Beach and was a life-long resident. She was a member of the Fernandina Beach High School Class of 2004 and received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University in Buie’s Creek, NC.

Heather served her country as a member of the Army Reserves and served a tour of duty in Iraq in 2009. She had obtained her General Contractor’s license and recently earned her Real Estate license. Always a “powerhouse”, Heather often seemed like Superwoman. She worked extremely hard and was able to achieve much.

She liked fishing and hunting and spending time with her family. She could also be found at her children’s ballgames or working on her mini farm raising the chickens, ducks and turkeys she so enjoyed.

Heather dearly loved her family. She would be a substitute mom for her younger brothers if she needed to be, liked going on trips with her mother or being in the center of family life. She had an irrepressible spirit and would light up any room she walked into.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Shirley Faye Musgrove.

She leaves behind her soulmate, Tyler Heatwole; her newborn daughter, Finley Faye Heatwole; her daughters, Gracelyn Delaine Wilkinson and Brynlee Amelia Wilkinson; her son, Grayson Eli Heatwole; her parents, Gwen and Ronald Mixon; her brothers, Kenny R. (Katee) Turner and Travis Lee (Kara Kato) Turner; her maternal grandfather, Alton A.
