    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Joy Patrice Dorothy Tierney, loved by so many for her purest of hearts, her steadfast loyalty to those she kept closest to her, and being uniquely herself.

Devastation doesn’t even begin to describe the profound loss of Joy. There’s nothing on this earth that Joy wanted more than to start a big old family with her husband Jim. It was her main focus and something she often spoke about.

Finally this dream became a reality with the arrival of our beautiful Lilith. Joy’s dream came to an untimely end just a short time later. I so looked forward to watching Joy as she took on this new role of what would ultimately be the greatest mom around.

For one short hour she finally got to experience that burst of love and motherhood she had waited so long for, until she was cruelly taken from us. Lilith will have us all around to tell her how deeply she was wanted and loved, and her amazing Mom will never be forgotten. As private a person Joy was, she was still loved by so many. It seems as if everyone in her path had made their own unique connection with her, creating everlasting memories along the way.

Joy was more than an animal lover, she was a dedicated pet owner that would stop at nothing to make her fur babies happy. Joy was also a beloved aunt and godmother to many. Almost a second mom to most of the children in her life. Her devotion knew no bounds and the children she loved adored her right back.

Words cannot come close to expressing how deep we feel the loss of Joy, this will be a void that can never be filled, and all that we can ask is for all of us left behind without her, to keep Joy’s memory alive by telling her stories, and sharing the literal millions of pictures she held so dearly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]With disbelief and shattered hearts, the family of Abirami Goyal announces her passing on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, Sahana Abi Goyal.

Abi was only 31 but her life was full of love and adventure. She loved traveling and all things outdoors with her two fur babies, Scout and Jasper, and the love of her life, her adoring husband of 6 years, Kartikeya.

Abi could do anything she put her mind to, not the least of which was graduating in three years from UC Berkley where she studied electrical engineering. She continued to a successful career with Intel with endless humility and grace.

Abi possessed a strength that was quiet but fierce and she brought that strength to every aspect of her life, including her relationships. Her loyalty and kindness made her an exceptional friend but it didn’t matter how much time you spent with her, to know her at all was to love her.

The greatest tragedy is that she will never fulfill her dream of watching her baby girl grow up and that her daughter will not have the experience of knowing the incredible woman Abi was and the incredible mother she would have undoubtedly been. Our only solace is the brief time she was able to hold and feel her and the happiness she radiated in her final moments.

She was quick to laugh, slow to judge, and our lives will never be the same without her.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Maria “Masha” Pike was born in Tver Ostashkov Russia on February 19, 1990. She was adopted by Tom Pike and Lynne Pike in December 1996. Masha was excited to be an “American girl,” and the following year she was sworn in as an American citizen in Memphis, Tennessee.

Maria loved life, the beauty of nature, and the wonders of this earth. As a child, she enjoyed hiking and camping with her dad and walking barefoot in the grass and through the woods. She loved to sew and crochet with her mom, as well as reading books and learning from scripture. She was active in 4-H and Girl Scouts, played in recitals, competitions, and weddings and won many awards in the county fair in several categories, particularly for her exceptional artistic talent. Earning an associate degree in Horticulture at Brigham Young University in Utah, Maria often participated in gardening and landscaping projects.

Caring for her newborn daughter was Maria’s highest priority, as her partner Mitchell and her friends observed. She kept a clean home for Destinii and only dressed her in 100% cotton and other natural fibers. She encouraged others to handle her baby gently and was cautious about who held and cared for Destinii. She loved to cook and, proud of her Russian heritage, she often prepared Russian foods, including borscht and pierogi. She was particular about the foods she ate, especially while pregnant, placing high priority on fresh produce and unprocessed foods. She only wanted the best for her daughter and her partner Mitchell.

Maria’s spirit, her smile, and her laughter will be sorely missed by those who knew her well and dearly loved her.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
