    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Currie-Hill Beeson Velie, age 35, her 2 year-old son, Joseph John Velie IV, and unborn son, Jack Jasper Velie, were murdered September 6 at their home in Coconut Grove.

Currie and her husband, Joe, created ESP Events, Inc., a special events company serving the Greater Miami area and beyond. She was a graduate of Darien, Connecticut High School and the University of Connecticut at Storrs. was an upbeat, positive role model for her family, friends and employees. She loved her new role as a mother to her 2 year-old son, Little Joe, and was happily awaiting the October 21 arrival of son, Jack.

She was an energetic and inspiring woman who passionately loved her family and the outdoors. Joe Velie, husband and father, wrote: “My life with Currie was a gift. A gift that opened each day with a hug and a kiss. A gift that grew together as a couple and as a family. She was my soul mate, my business partner, my best friend, the mother of my children, and most of all, the light of my life.”

Currie-Hill Velie and her beloved children, Joe and Jack will remain in our hearts forever. They are survived by family members: Joe Velie III, Susie, Bry, and Helen Beeson, of Orford, NH; Jennifer Beeson of Coconut Grove; Bonnie Fallon of Brookfield, VT, Leila Mack of Tustin, CA; several devoted cousins. Dianalee Velie of Newbury, NH, Joseph John Velie, Sr., Fay Velie, Sophie Boccellatto, all of New Port Richey, Phyllis Crimmins of Stamford, CT, and other relatives including Alison Jasper of Rowayton, CT and Shiorina Morita of New Jersey.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-story”]Ms. Signer worked on the 93rd floor of the North World Trade Center building at company called Fred Alger. She was 32 years old and was to be married that coming Saturday to Paul Mauceri, a carpenter who had known her  for 14 years.

She was from the Ridgewood section of Queens and was a parishioner at St. Pancras in Glendale. On the day of her wedding, the priest conducted a Mass for her before a packed church that was reported in a Jimmy Breslin column the next day.

Dianne was five days away from her wedding in Freeport and six months away from the birth of her first child when she died in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks of 9/11.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-story”]Helen Crossin-Kittle was the one to ask her future husband out on their first date. A good thing too, says Kevin Kittle, a high school custodian, because if she had waited for him to ask, he says, he would “still be single.”

The Kittles lived in Larchmont and their love story was a knew-each-other-from- childhood kind of thing. Only, as Mr. Kittle notes, he was “just dumb” — didn’t pick up on Helen’s feelings until that first date, when she told him she was looking for a nice guy and had always thought he was a nice guy. They married April 7, honeymooned in St. Lucia, and did not want to wait to start a family.

Ms. Kittle, 34, a computer specialist who worked on the 103rd floor of 1 World Trade Center, was five months pregnant at the time of the attack. She went for amniocentesis nine days ago and expected the results of the test on Monday. Mr. Kittle and the couple’s families have not decided whether they want to be told whether she was expecting a boy or a girl.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
