Tanisha Patrice Davis Malloy, RN

Richmond, Virginia


On Sunday, January 3rd 2016, the Lord summoned for one of his angels to return home. Tanisha Patrice Malloy, 33 passed away at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. She was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia to her mother Patricia Lynn Malloy Davis, whom she preceded in death and her father Elmo “Jack” Davis.

Tanisha graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Virginia with an honors diploma in 2000. She then continued her studies by attending Norfolk State University where she majored in Biology and graduated in May of 2005.

Tanisha was employed for over 5 years as a Clinical Lab Assistant with Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She later continued her education at Bon Secours, where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. Upon her passing, Tanisha was an employee of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the Neuroscience Unit.

She is survived by her father, Elmo “Jack” Davis, grandparents Howard and Sarah Malloy, and by her fiancé Dennis White. Tanisha was the loving mother of Cory King White and Patrick Malloy White and also served as a mother figure for Elias White. She is survived by her sister Ebony Davis and brother Eric Davis who affectionately called her “DeeDee”, her uncle’s Ronald and Darryl Malloy, aunts Emily Shoulars, Sandra Davis, and Bettie Mae Grant. She will be missed by her godmothers Janice George, Barbara Grant, and Luella Johnson, godfather Reginald Grant Jr., godsisters Delores “Trice” Grant, LaQueta “Maria” Johnson and Tananda White along with a host of other cousins and family members.

In Tanisha’s short time on this earth she touched the lives of countless family, friends, and the numerous patients she provided care for as a nurse. Her kind words and gentle demeanor was contagious to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a blessing to all those that loved her and true inspiration to all that knew of her. Tanisha enjoyed spending time with her family, trying new recipes, and being a loving ear to those that were in need of medical advice. She was truly a huge part of everyone’s lives and she will truly be missed.
