Her Story
It is with great sadness, the family of Amanda Christiane Garbacz, 24, of North Little Rock announce her passing on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Amanda graduated from North Little Rock High School and continued on to receive her Civil Engineering degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was an engineer with Patterson Engineering in Texarkana, Texas. Amanda was a member of Chi Epsilon, The National Society of Professional Engineers, and The American Society of Civil Engineers.
Amanda was also a dedicated and involved member of Park Hill Christian Church since childhood where she took an active role in Chi Rho and CYF ministries. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, biking, hiking, yoga, painting, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her fiancé, Danny Hernandez, of Texarkana, Texas; daughter, Lillian Amanda Hernandez; parents, Matt and Suzanne Garbacz; sister, Alana Garbacz, of North Little Rock; grandparents, Christiane and Ben Thomas, of Jacksonville; Dr. Christopher and Marilyn Garbacz, of Flora, Mississippi; great-grandfather, Robert Stroud, of North Little Rock; aunts and uncles, Cindy Goddard, Jeff Garbacz, Susanna and Nathan Ivy-Garbacz, Miranda Garbacz; and a loving host of many family members and friends.
In her short 24 years, Amanda touched the lives of many with her beautiful outgoing compassionate spirit and intellect. Her beautiful daughter brings peace to her family and loved ones because they know Amanda smiles through Lillian to let us all know she is at peace and well in God’s hands.
