She had two siblings Nigel Lee Smith and Carley Juanita Evans. Katie and her fiancée Brian Byrne were expecting their first child Liam Byrne.
Katie loved art and animals. She had a white and gray Himalayan cat named Barry. She loved the beach and really missed going since moving to Nampa.
