    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, Angela Paj Ci Ly Cooke, 23, of Tetonia, Idaho, who passed Oct. 19, 2010, due to complications following a car accident. She took with her their first unborn child, to be named Wylie Koob Hmoov. Angela leaves behind her loving husband, Kyle Cooke.

Angela was born Sept. 9, 1987, to Kao and Kia Ly of Cottage Grove, Minn. She was the third of four children, the others being Gabriel (Kayla) Ly of Cottage Grove, Christina (Michael) Ross of Rexburg and Anthony of Cottage Grove. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Park High School in 2005, where she enjoyed art and was an excellent student. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the Asian Club.

She chose to further her education by attending Brigham Young University-Idaho, where she studied biology. She was currently enrolled in the sociology program and attended dental assistant courses in Idaho Falls. She was active in the Southeast Asian Association.

Angela met her future husband, Kyle, in a provident living class at BYU-Idaho. Although their time was short, they cherished each and every moment they spent together. They loved to travel together, starting with their honeymoon in the Bahamas and trips to Minnesota, Las Vegas, Niagara Falls and the Bahamas a second time. They could often be found visiting and helping family and friends, attending temple sessions, riding horses, hunting and even shopping. More of Angela’s favorite passions were shoes and polished nails. Angela was always a very positive and loving person.

Angela and Kyle were married in the Rexburg LDS Temple on Nov. 8, 2008. They made their home in Rexburg while they both attended college and then moved to Tetonia this spring. Their long-awaited first child was to be born in February.

Angela was employed at Grand Teton Dental Care in Victor. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings, but truly enjoyed her Primary and Sunday school callings.

Cooking was one of Angela’s many talents, and her expertise was Asian cuisine. Angela could make a “wicked” egg roll. She loved her family deeply and had a special affection for her nieces and nephews: Adilyn and Kaleb Ross of Rexburg; Benjamin and Eric Ly of Cottage Grove; and Matilda, Gabriel, Jakoby and Weston Sorensen of Rexburg.

She is also survived by her in-laws, Brett and Anita Cooke of Driggs and their children, Stacy Cooke of Ogden, Leslie (Travis) Sorensen of Rexburg, Craig (Sylvia) Cooke of Rexburg, Sadie Cooke of Driggs and Jesse Cooke, who is currently serving in the Lithuania/Baltic LDS Mission.

Her grandparents are Larry and Murrel Cooke of Victor and Marie Huntington of Tacoma, Wash.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]With heavy hearts, the Randall-Rihm family of Appleton, Wisconsin, shares the tragic passing of their child, Kali Jean Randall, age 38, and her beloved children, Zeke and Frey.

Kali was born in Ashland, WI, and grew up in the Fox Valley area, graduating from Hortonville High School. She received an Associate’s degree as a veterinary technician from Madison Area Technical College.

In her twenties, Randall’s adventurous spirit and love of animals and the mountains brought her west. Beginning in 2009, she made homes in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and, finally, Idaho. She was a talented photographer and silversmith, and forged deep ties within the small town of Victor, at the foot of her beloved Teton Mountains. She was an avid and skillful snowboarder, trail rider, and a licensed boat captain, spending every season out in the fierce beauty of the rugged Idaho wilderness. She took great pride in being self-sufficient, raising chickens for eggs and growing an herb garden. Since her son Zeke’s birth in January 2023, she added homemade baby foods and artisan sourdough loaves to her repertoire, inspired by her father Scott’s lifelong career as a professional baker.

Her curious energy and wanderlust knew no bounds, driving her to travel and photograph vistas as far afield as Argentina, Riviera Maya, the Dry Tortugas, and Budapest. When close to home, she worked as a silversmith. Her online shop, Kalico Forest, featured hand-tooled silver jewelry set with local gems and minerals. She photographed these pieces against wide open skies and wildflowers, crafting a compelling glimpse into her warm and vibrant life, garnering thousands of followers and customers around the globe.

As Zeke’s mama, she was a tireless and loving protector. In her own words, “During pregnancy, doubt was a constant. Then, he was here. Everything made sense instantly. How is it you’re so new, yet I’ve known you an eternity?”

She is survived by her fathers, Scott Randall and Tom Rihm, her mother, Jean Lindisch Randall Rihm, her brother, Brian Randall, his wife, Janel, and their children, Aubrey and Jaxon, her sister, Emma Randall Brice, her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Lainey Rae, and Tom’s children, Michael Rihm, his wife Sara Rihm and Jennifer Rihm Van Dinter, and her husband Jeremy Van Dinter, and their children, Payton and Arianna.

Kali is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Pete Auvinen, Patty Randall Auvinen, Mary Lindisch Moore, Alan Moore, Carol Lindisch Krancic, James Krancic, David Lindisch, Midge Lindisch, Lawrence Paul Lindisch, Eileen Lindisch Cervantes, and Gabriel Cervantes.

Kali is also survived by her treasured cousins: Peter Auvinen and Chelsey Kroells, Cheyenne Auvinen, Charlotte Auvinen, Roy Auvinen and Emily Auvinen, Gianna Auvinen, Sarah Eva Krancic Monroe, Murphy Monroe, Foster and Milo Monroe, Megan Krancic Fischer, Christopher Fischer, Hudson, Jack, and Anabelle Fischer, Elissa Moore, Sarah Matulis, Baxter, Sullivan and Merrit Matulis, Ashley Moore Harris, Brian Harris, Marguerite, Vincent, Bernadette, and Eddie Harris, Eddie Hatfield, Leann Hatfield, Adam Hatfield, Donna Powell, Eric Powell, Ashley, Brandon and Devon Powell, Molly Cervantes Leschke, Phil Leschke, Theo and Finn Leschke, and Jillian Cervantes, Matt Wesoloski.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Kathleen P. Terry, 22, of Tipanuk, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 24, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery.

Kathleen Phyllis Terry was born in Long Island, N.Y., on April 23, 1981, the daughter of Kathleen Phyllis Russell and William Sherman Terry. She was the youngest child of five, which included William Terry II, Matthew Terry, Christopher Terry and Jessica Terry.

Her family moved to Eagle in 1985, where she resided until 1989 and relocated to Tipanuk. Kathleen attended Mountain Home Schools. She was employed in the food service industry. Her favorite place of employment was Brick Oven Bistro where she got to work with her closest friends and family members.

Following the Brick Oven, Kathleen was “preparing for her most fulfilling occupation of being an expectant mother and stay-at-home wife,” her family noted, adding, “since the day she was born, Kathleen was full of life.

“She enjoyed the open-air life on the ranch as well as summers spent traveling with her father and siblings as she visited nearly every state and tourist attraction. As Kathleen grew, she continued to stay very close to home on the ranch.

“She enjoyed riding horses, watching movies, listening to music and family dinners involving loud talking and laughter as well as the best Italian food.

“Kathleen’s strongest passions were her love for the color purple, her conversations with family on her favorite couch and all her bags of makeup. Kathleen loved to spend time with her family, showing her love for them in a way that only Kathleen could.
