    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Crystal Eliza Betterton, born February 12, 1981 to Debra and Ken in Grand Junction, CO and raised in Sandy, UT. Our beautiful Angel Crystal battled postpartum depression and anxiety, eventually succumbing to her illness on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She left us too soon.

She was the most loving, warm spirit of pure light. She was able to light up a room with a single smile. She cared selflessly for all her family and friends, even when she was hurting. Crystal was the most wonderful mother, loving her two incredible children so fiercely and with all her heart. She loved nature, animals, dancing and enjoyed many adventures with her family and close friends. Crystal has always had a great passion for health; physically and spiritually. She was a Master Herbalist, Natural Healer and a Kundalini Yoga Teacher; pouring herself into helping others to find health and happiness. She saw people for who they were on a soul level, no matter their short comings. Crystal was THE definition of unconditional love.

She has begun a new adventure, leaving behind so many who love her; Children: Lola 9, Cedar 20 Months, Father of their children, Loren Bell. Parents: Mother Debra Peterson-Warnas, Father Kenneth Betterton, Stepfather David Warnas. Siblings: Jacqueline (Gerry) Swanson, Melissa (Brian Mantor), Randall (Jocelyn) Warnas. Nieces: Hendrix Swanson 1, Alexandria Mantor 7, Victoria Mantor 3; many aunts, uncles and cousins, a caring and devoted Yoga family, many many dear friends and relatives, and her sweet dog Kokoa who is still waiting by her bed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Michon Stratton Paddock, 25 of Santa Clara passed away at Dixie Regional Medical Center Saturday, December 8 at about 9:30 AM. She died as a result of complications with her pregnancy.

Michon is the youngest of 4 children born to Brent and Evelyn Stratton. She was raised in Hurricane, and as a child and young woman was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She graduated from Hurricane High School. Following high school she served as a paralegal for a local law firm. She then decided to change course and received training necessary to serve as a CNA. She worked as a medical secretary/transcriptionist. Michon was competent, caring, dependable, and hard working in her chosen professions.

Michon met and fell in love with Kaden Paddock, the son of Jeff and Keri Paddock. They were married in Santa Clara, Utah in April of 2009. Michon and Kaden were very much in love, and in January of 2010 their son Karver was born. Michon was a devoted wife and mother. Recently she chose to give up her career so she could have the time to be with her husband and son. She loved to spend time with her family, including her extended family, doing a number of things like camping, four wheeling, or just being with them. Michon has many talents, a good sense of humor, and a delightful laugh. She liked to ham it up for the camera and sent a goofy picture to her sister the evening before her passing.

Michon is survived by her husband, Kaden Paddock, and their son Karver. She also leaves behind her parents, Brent & Evelyn Stratton of Hurricane, and Jeff and Keri Paddock of Washington.

Other survivors include her brothers and sisters Casey Stratton, Crystal and Corey Wood, Angela and Joe Watson, Jamie and Clint Hafen, Lindsey and Travis Christy, Shawn and Amber Barney, Amber Lee Barney, and Callie Paddock. Michon’s Grandma Evelyn Dettamanti preceded her in death by just a few weeks and I’m sure was on the welcoming committee when Michon and her baby arrived.

Michon’s surviving grandparents include Arden & Allene Stratton, Harmon & Mary Davis, Earl & Joan Paddock, and Richard Dettamanti. Michon has numerous nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who love her, and the outpouring of love from them and others who knew and loved Michon has been greatly appreciated.

In her short life of 25 years Michon touched numerous lives for good. She will be sorely missed. We look forward to the time when we can be reunited with her, and meet her youngest child.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Our precious daughter and sister, Lori Kay Soares Hacking, slipped into eternity July 19, 2004. She was the daughter of Thelma Black Soares of Orem, Utah and Eraldo Soares of Fullerton, California.

She was born December 31, 1976, in Los Angeles, California. In her early years she attended Pacific Drive Elementary School in Fullerton where she had many friends.

After moving to Orem, Utah, in 1988, she continued her schooling at Windsor Elementary, Canyon View Junior High where she was elected 9th grade class president, and Orem High School where she graduated in 1995. She spent one year on scholarship at Weber State University and then transferred to the University of Utah. While there she was selected by the Hinckley Institute of Politics as the George S. Eccles Intern in Business Policy for the semester of work she did at Mendez England and Associates, a public administration group in Chevy Chase, Maryland. She also received the University of Utah President’s Award for outstanding scholastic achievement 1996-1997, and graduated cum laude in December, 1999. In 2000 she was selected for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for collegiate schools of business. During her university years in Salt Lake City, she worked at Hinckley Dodge, then upon graduation, at American Express and later at Wells Fargo.

Lori married her high school sweetheart, Mark Hacking, on August 7, 1999, in the Bountiful Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an active member of the Church, and was dearly loved by her family, her in-laws, and her many friends, roommates and work colleagues.

Her beautiful face and smile that always lit up any room she entered now light up celestial realms.

Goodbye, our angel baby, until we meet again.
